The Hollywood lounge has a laid-back, Moulin Rouge feel about it. Just don't call it a club.

"We're not a nightclub, but a lounge," insists Ian Shepp, one of the principal owners of Madame Royale, about the latest arrival on Hollywood's relentlessly competitive nightlife scene. "A nightclub is a place with moving lights, LED and all of that. There are lounges that try to be a club, and we're definitely not that."
